The 2025 Belt and Road Media Community Summit Forum was held in Yangjiang on December 7. Following GO Guangdong, let's explore the culture, modern economy, and diverse ecology of Yangjiang, which has been a hub along the ancient Maritime Silk Road.

Maritime Silk Road Museum of Guangdong

The Maritime Silk Road Museum of Guangdong was founded in 2004 as the permanent home of the ancient sunken merchant ship. In 2007, the Nanhai I was successfully raised intact within a massive caisson and transferred to the museum, whose wave-like architecture echoes the marine environment. Following over a decade of meticulous archaeological work, this time capsule from the ancient Maritime Silk Road has unveiled its secrets.

Da'ao Fishing Village

Nestled in the southeast of Dongping County, Yangjiang, Da'ao is a well-preserved ancient fishing village in China, retaining its original maritime features. After centuries of ups and downs, this millennium-old village has been revitalized as a 4A-level tourist attraction showcasing unique fishing history and culture.

Offshore Wind Energy

Hailing Island National Wetland Park of Mangrove Forest 

Nestled in the northeastern part of Hailing Island, Yangjiang, Hailing Island Mangrove National Wetland Park is a multi-functional ecological area that showcases subtropical mangrove wetlands and their conservation. It also offers scenic hiking trails and environmental education. After a significant renovation in recent years, it has become a popular tourist destination and a living classroom for nature lovers.

Dajiao Bay

Where nature and history form Yangjiang's foundation, vibrant energy defines its spirit, nowhere more so than at Dajiao Bay on Hailing Island. Framed by green mountains on three sides where the Pearl River Delta meets the South China Sea, this nationally recognized 5A-class scenic area offers a spectacular coastal setting. Since earning its top rating, it has stood as one of Guangdong's premier seaside destinations.
