Where nature and history form Yangjiang's foundation, vibrant energy defines its spirit, nowhere more so than at Dajiao Bay on Hailing Island. Framed by green mountains on three sides where the Pearl River Delta meets the South China Sea, this nationally recognized 5A-class scenic area offers a spectacular coastal setting. Since earning its top rating, it has stood as one of Guangdong's premier seaside destinations.

The scenic area is named "Dajiao Bay" due to its spiral-shaped coastline, which resembles a giant ox horn. The bay boasts a 2,500-meter-long and 100-meter-wide golden beach, making it an ideal location for water activities. The beach is covered with silky-smooth sand, meeting the world's highest standards for seawater bathing, with an average grain size of 0.35 millimeters. Additionally, the water quality, noise levels, and air quality here have all achieved China's Class A certification.

The bay is abundant in natural beauty with vibrant coconut trees and year-round blooming flowers. From dawn to dusk, visitors can immerse themselves in the rich subtropical coastal allure. Witness the sunrise over the sea at the peak of Dajiao Mountain at first light; spend the day at the marine park, embracing thrilling water sports such as sailing and parasailing; and walk along the beach after dark, listening to the soothing rhythm of the waves. Visitors may also have the chance to catch sight of fishing boats dotting the moonlit waters. It creates a tranquil haven amid dynamic energy, offering a peaceful retreat away from the urban hustle.
