The annual Overseas Chinese Promotion Conference on Guangdong's High-quality Development will be held on April 16. Overseas Chinese from various chambers of commerce, as well as professionals in emerging sectors such as advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, and finance, will attend the conference.

The event aims to showcase overseas Chinese the latest opportunities in the province and encourage them to foster partnerships with local players. The conference will also be held alongside a dedicated event, the Global Overseas Chinese Enterprises Gathering at the Canton Fair.

With the theme "Supporting Integrated Growth of Manufacturing and Service industries," key figures of Chinese communities worldwide will participate in the discussion. 

Ten key projects will be signed, showcasing the contributions of overseas Chinese in facilitating the high-quality development of Guangdong. A series of cross-border business cooperation will also be settled between Guangzhou specialized markets and overseas Chinese organizations. Moreover, three pilot industrial parks funded by overseas Chinese in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Meizhou will be officially designated as demonstration zones to facilitate capital, technology, and talent flows.

More than 30 million overseas Chinese trace their origins to Guangdong, representing over half of the global overseas Chinese population. The overseas Chinese community has made significant contributions and has played a crucial role in fueling Guangdong's economy. The conference is expected to enhance international cooperation, advance the development of a modern industrial system, and promote global trade.
