"A single microwave oven can streamline what used to be complicated cooking procedures, a small but telling example of how China's smart manufacturing is quietly improving daily life. I hope more people will come and see it for themselves," said Wang Haina, editor-in-chief of Aju Daily, during her visit to the Midea Microwave Oven Shunde Industrial Park in Guangdong for the Asia-Pacific Media Forum (APMF).

Upon entering the park's foodie commune, the aroma of freshly cooked fried chicken nuggets have immediately drawn the attention of Aminath Namza, chairperson of Public Service Media in the Maldives. She noted that Midea's products are available in the Maldives. She added that she had long known Foshan as a hub for the furniture industry, so that she was looking forward to visiting the city.

Midea Microwave Oven Shunde Industrial Park primarily manufactures mainstream small kitchen appliances, including microwave ovens, ovens of various sizes, and multifunctional microwave steam ovens. The park is currently the world's largest microwave oven manufacturing base, featuring the industry's most comprehensive end-to-end microwave oven supply chain and the highest production capacity globally.
In September 2021, the factory was designated a "Lighthouse Factory" by the World Economic Forum, marking the first such recognition in Foshan. The park extensively employs intelligent robotic arms, automated guided vehicles, and digital central control systems to enable smart production. A single production line can flexibly switch between multiple product models, significantly enhancing production efficiency and product yield rates. Its products are sold in over 100 countries and regions worldwide.
