Former Site of Pearl River Column Headquarters, Zhongshan City
Concealed within Wugui Mountain (Wuguishan) in Zhongshan, this ancient ancestral temple from the Qing Dynasty, known as the Ancestral Temple of the Gu Family, once served as the headquarters of the Pearl River Column during the Counter-Japanese War. It bears witness to the steadfast resolve of the people in the Pearl River Delta in conducting counter-Japanese guerrilla warfare.

1944年10月1日，南番中顺游击区指挥部在古氏宗祠召开珠江地区游击干部和中山地方党组织负责人大会，宣布中区纵队成立。10月下旬，中区纵队领导和主力大队挺进粤中。12月，撤销中区纵队建制，原中区纵队在珠江三角洲的部队采用珠江纵队番号。
1945年1月15日，经中共中央批示，广东人民抗日游击队珠江纵队在中山公开宣布成立，林锵云任司令员，梁嘉任政委，谢斌任副司令员，刘向东任政治部主任，古氏宗祠为珠江纵队司令部旧址。解放战争时期，古氏宗祠依然是五桂山区人民开展对敌斗争的重要驻地。
