Chongxu Ancient Taoist Temple (Former Site of Dongjiang Column Command)

The present-day Chongxu Ancient Taoist Temple is ensconced near Bailian Lake in the south, hidden amidst the picturesque scenery of Luofu Mountain in Huizhou. In bygone times, it served as the former site of the Dongjiang Column Command. The temple hosted many significant meetings of Guangdong's CPC organization.

如今的冲虚古观，南临白莲湖，掩映在苍松古柏之间，环境清幽，是惠州罗浮山风光的精华所在。彼时，作为东江纵队司令部旧址，冲虚古观举行过多次重要会议。

1944年7月，东江纵队开辟了以罗浮山为中心的抗日根据地。1945年5月，中共广东省临时委员会、东江军政委员会以及东江纵队司令部、政治部、后勤机关、军政干校等直属队先后进入罗浮山。

1945年7月6日至22日，中共广东省临时委员会在冲虚古观召开干部扩大会议，传达了贯彻党的七大精神和中共中央关于华南战略方针的指示，总结了抗战以来广东党组织的经验教训。会议决定撤销广东省临时委员会和东江军政委员会，成立中共广东区委员会（简称“广东区党委”），并通过了几项重要决议。这次会议在广东党组织历史上具有重大意义。

同年8月15日，遵照党中央的指示和罗浮山会议关于“迅速北上，创立战略根据地”的决定，由林锵云、王作尧、杨康华率领部队1100余人北上，准备与王震率领的南下支队会师，开辟五岭根据地。随后，东江纵队领导机关也逐步迁离罗浮山。
