Former Site of Daling Mountain Counter-Japanese Base, Dongguan City

Established in 1940 by the third Brigade of the Guangdong People's Counter-Japanese Guerrilla Force, one of the predecessors of the Dongjiang Column, the Daling Mountain Counter-Japanese Base stands as one of the earliest counter-Japanese strongholds founded by the CPC in the enemy-occupied regions of Guangdong.

This Hakka ancient village still preserves cultural relics and historical sites, including the brigade headquarters, conference rooms, and transportation stations. Every brick and tile within these precincts bears the indelible imprint of history.

大岭山抗日根据地由东江纵队的前身之一——广东人民抗日游击队第三大队于1940年创建，是中国共产党在广东敌后地区建立的最早的抗日根据地之一，被东江纵队司令员曾生称为“东江纵队抗日根据地的根据地”。

大岭山抗日根据地旧址位于一个客家村落，这个客家古村至今仍保留着广东人民抗日游击队第三大队大队部、会议室、大家团结报社、交通站等文物旧址，这里的一砖一瓦皆是历史印记。旧址旁的东江纵队纪念馆珍藏着1941年百花洞战斗中缴获的日军三八式步枪的枪栓和防尘盖。枪栓是百花洞战斗最好的历史见证物。

1941年6月，日军长濑大队及伪军600多人由东莞分两路袭击大岭山百花洞，妄图摧毁大岭山根据地。广东人民抗日游击队第三大队、第五大队各一部在地方抗日自卫队配合下，迎击进犯之敌。经过两天激战，抗日军民毙伤敌军五六十人，击毙日军大队长长濑。日军承认“这是进军华南以来最丢脸的一仗”。百花洞战斗的胜利，沉重打击了日、伪军，鼓舞了抗日军民夺取胜利的信心，扩大了广东人民抗日游击队的影响。
