As a key heritage site in Zhongshan City dedicated to commemorating Sun Yat-sen, the Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen has unveiled a new exhibition at its Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall since May 1. The exhibition presents Sun's life journey to becoming a revolutionary leader and his family life, featuring two sections titled "Sun Yat-sen, the Great Pioneer of China's Democratic Revolution" as well as "Sun Yat-sen's Relatives and Descendants".

The new exhibition highlights the collection of over 200 cultural relics donated by overseas Chinese, including Sun's relatives. International support comes from institutions such as Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall in Singapore and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Japan's Kobe. Key exhibits include a round-trip train ticket between San Francisco and New York, used by Dr. Sun Yat-sen from June to October 1911, witnessing Sun's activities during the 1911 Revolution.

The exhibition adopts audio-visual technology and multimedia to build smart guided tours, online digital museums, and Mixed Reality (MR) smart glasses to provide audiences with an immersive, interactive, and situational exhibition experience.

In 2026, the International Symposium in Commemoration of the 160th Anniversary of the Birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen will be held in Zhongshan. The Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen will be a key venue for the commemoration.

The Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen is located in Cuiheng Village, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, which is the hometown of Sun Yat-sen. Nestled among mountains to the south, north, and west, it faces the Pearl River estuary to the east. Located 20 kilometers from downtown Zhongshan, 90 kilometers from Guangzhou's urban area, and 30 kilometers from Macao, it lies along the western side of the Pearl River's mouth, directly opposite Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, formerly the Sun Yat-sen Former Residence Exhibition Hall, was rebuilt in 1996 and opened to the public on November 12, 1999.
