Foshan's new hot spot delves into immersive neo-Chinese style experiences

The Jinyanshanxia Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Hall has recently opened at Jinyan Park in Daliang, Shunde District, Foshan, aiming to offer a variety of neo-Chinese style experiences.

As Shunde's first experiential intangible cultural heritage (ICH) space, it provides classes in lion dance, dragon boat crafting, Cantonese embroidery, Daliang fish lantern making, Cantonese opera, guqin, paper-cutting, calligraphy and painting. It also organizes ICH performances, craft markets, family study programs and cultural gatherings on a regular basis.

The first floor, also known as the Cultural Space, features an ICH exhibition area showcasing Daliang fish lanterns, Foshan lion heads, Xiangyunsha silk, Cantonese embroidery and Cantonese opera headdresses. 

The second floor is the Creative Space and houses ICH workshops for Cantonese embroidery, paper-cutting, traditional handicrafts and guqin, as well as instructors' studios for art creation and skills training.

The Concept Space is located on the third floor, hosting ICH sharing sessions, traditional arts performances and cultural gatherings.

Opening hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; closed on Tuesdays except public holidays.
