On July 24, the Linqi Mamianqun Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Museum (林栖马面裙非遗艺术馆), China's first museum dedicated to the Mamianqun, or horse-faced skirt, officially opened to the public at Haizhu Creative Industry Park in Guangzhou.

The 3,000-square-meter museum houses more than 1,000 antiques and over 300 Mamianqun dating from the Ming and Qing dynasties all the way to the modern times. Centered on the theme “One Skirt One Eastern Epic”, the exhibition traces the evolution of the Mamianqun, showcasing its traditional craftsmanship and the heritage of traditional Chinese clothing.

Visitors can learn about traditional garment-making techniques and take part in hands-on cultural experiences.

The museum also features a 1,800-square-meter riverside event space and a rooftop terrace for art exhibitions, cultural forums, brand launches and international exchange events.
