From late February to early April, golden trumpet trees bloom across Guangdong's urban streets and mountain slopes, painting the province in sweeping swathes of brilliant gold. Guangxiao Temple, Guangzhou

Located in Guangzhou's old town, Guangxiao Temple is the city's oldest and largest Buddhist temple. It is one of the city's Four Great Buddhist Temples, alongside Liurong (六榕寺), Haichuang (海幢寺), and Hualin (华林寺).

The millennium-old Buddhist temple boasts exquisite and rigorous architecture. The grand, imposing halls, built in the classical style, are dotted with golden trumpet trees whose yellow blossoms line the walkways. The scene creates a peaceful, poetic feeling for visitors.

Yellow flowers clothe the branches in dense clusters by bluestone paths, rockeries, red walls, and grey tiles. Visitors may snap photos under the wall with the Chinese character Zen (禅), and capture golden blooms reflected in the lotus pond.

Talent Park, Shenzhen

Nestled in the Houhai area of Nanshan District, Shenzhen Talent Park is China's first coastal park themed around talent. It features talent-inspired landmarks, including the starlight bridge and π bridge. The park hosts regular events such as talent runs, themed lectures, drone light shows, and coffee music festivals.

During the golden trumpet blooming season, the park is particularly popular among visitors and citizens. Families stroll together. Friends explore in groups. Loved ones enjoy a day out.

Along the trails by the starlight bridge, golden trumpet trees create a dazzling golden corridor. The branches overflow with chime-shaped flower clusters. Sunlight pours through the blooms, bathing everything in a soft, warm glow. Visitors are recommended to pose against this golden backdrop and admire distant views of the Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base and the iconic bamboo-shaped China Resources Tower.

Yunti Mountain Forest Park, Zhongshan

Yunti Mountain Forest Park sits in Nanlang Subdistrict of Zhongshan City. Yunti Mountain reaches an altitude of 268.3 meters and offers a forest coverage rate of 96.2 percent.

The park features two zones, Zone A and Zone B. Zone A boasts one of the largest golden trumpet tree plantations in South China, with approximately 12,000 to 15,000 trees. In the blooming season, the mountain slopes are carpeted in dense layers of golden blossoms, creating a fairytale landscape.

Zone B features a 2,000-meter circular mountain trail. Visitors may hike to the summit for sweeping views of pastoral scenery, tranquil villages, and the magnificent expanse of the Lingdingyang and Pearl River Estuary.
